Funky Car Skins Makes Electric Go Kart Look Electrifyingly Great In Preparation for Summernats 2012
Funky Car Skins, a sponsor of ElectricCarConversionBlog.com ‘s Electric Go Kart prepared and delivered the Nassa Panel for it as part of the Summernats 2012 preparations and boy does it look great. It give the Electric Go Kart this WOW factor. A couple of people were shown the Nassa panel prior to it being bolted on the Electric Go Kart and the reactions were very positive. I’m very impressed with the result which Funky Car Skins produced, but then again, I’m not surprised as Funky Car Skins are one of the industry experts in Vinyl Car Wraps. They have been involved in preparing cars that have appeared in Hot4s magazine and at Auto Salon Exhibitions, so they know their Wraps very well.
My thinking when doing an Electric Car Conversion or an Electric Vehicle Conversion is why make it boring. It needs to be exciting and fun. The stereotype of a boring Electric Vehicle Conversion is something that does not apply to this Electric Go Kart. In fact, I have not even seen a gasoline powered go kart that looks as exciting and funky as this go kart. If anyone has one that looks more funky than this go kart, please let me know in the comments section below with a link to a picture of such a go kart.
Now, that the Nassa Panel is fitted, I’m looking to experiment with the look by relocating some of the neon lights. I may even decide to test different locations during Summernats and guage the public’s reaction. In the picture above, I was that excited by the new look Nassa Panel that I bolted it up really quickly and took a picture before tidying up the wires.
This Electric Go Kart still retains the modified Electric Starter Motor as it’s traction motor along with the crude home made controller so all that still works. With the stereo and neons, that will add weight and consume battery power, but it redefines fun and that is what this Electric Vehicle is about.
After Summernats, I will be looking to do some further development on the Electric Go Kart, such as increasing speed, improving battery life and looking into different batteries.
I really appreciate the efforts of Funky Car Skins for making this Nassa Panel look great and enhancing the presentation of this Electric Go Kart. I know a lot of hard work went into it during the end of year holiday season in preparation for Summernats 2012.
